In “This War of Mine”, you do not play as a soldier of elite troops, but as a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city, experiencing a lack of food, medicine and constant danger from snipers and looters. The game provides an opportunity to experience the war from a completely new perspective.
The gameplay in This War of Mine depends on the change of days and nights. Snipers do not allow you to leave the shelter during the day, so you have to do other things - build your shelter, trade, take care of the survivors. At night, choosing one of the unique locations, you can send someone in search of provisions that will help you stay alive.
Make decisions based on your moral principles. Try to save all your people or sacrifice someone to increase the chances of others. There are no good or bad decisions during the war, only the task is to survive. The sooner you understand this, the better.
